NYC Baby!

Pedro and I just got back from our 9 day trip to the big apple! We had an awesome time staying with my best friend Ellie, who lives in Manhattan, which is so cool I can barely handle it! Peter had the opportunity to goo to Book Expo America, compliments of one of the clients that I work for. It is a huge annual book show where authors and publishers come together to show what books are coming out this year. There are free pre-released books that you can grab, along with a bunch of authors of all types of genres there doing free book signings. It was really spectacular to go and experience this new world to us, especially since Peter has been writing his own book. You will have to talk to him if you want to know more, or would simply like to preview his draft.
We also visited a handful of museums including the Met, and the Moma. We frequented the pizzerias and chocolatiers along with a taste of Brooklyn's famous frozen ices. We visited the NYC temple, and even got tickets for Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, which was quite the show! Ellie had already started painting her apartment before we arrived, and we got her started on the kitchen and finished up her blue bedroom walls before we left. It was a very fun trip and the best part about it was seeing Ellie and spending time with my Pedro.

February was a busy month for us! We had birthday parties every weekend and Valentines Day to celebrate. Peter's 24th birthday was a celebration with both families and some close friends joining in on the celebration. Thanks to everybody's help, I was able to have a drum themed birthday for Peter with new symbols and skins for his drums, to make them sound even better than they already did and a drum cake to top it off. We all joined in and played Rock Band, including our nephew, Parker, on the guitar! We love you Pedro!
We had a relaxed Valentine's Day that included a heart shaped pizza and a movie at home! Peter and I are currently trying to stay on top of our studies for school and balance all the other aspects of life. We are happy and blessed and that about sums up our fabulous February! Crunch Time

These next few weeks feel like they will never end. The light at the end of the tunnel seems pretty dim, but we're moving along. The last few weeks of school are coming up and I think that Janell and I have more tests and papers due in the next 21 days than we have had the entire semester.
The scattered and scarce fun, happy days coming up are exciting though. We are looking forward to thanksgiving this year. Since we are hosting it for the very first time, it will be a little different than usual I guess. Janell, though being the wonderful cook that she is, will be making her very first whole turkey this year. So that is a new little adventure.
Janell already bought her ticket for Twilight, of course. She will be going on Friday night with my sisters and I'm not quite sure who else. I'll stay home and get in a couple hours of band practice while I can fit it in. To answer some questions that have been posted, the band thing is going pretty well. We are working on getting some vocals onto the songs we already have written, so I don't mind posting a song or two on here but they're not quite ready for that yet.
We still haven't had any fabulous ideas for the Monteith Christmas talent show... I can think of somethings that I might be able to do, but nothing that Janell and I could do together. Man, I guess we did have a WHOLE year to figure that one out. Talk about procrastinating!
Well, I do want to get some more pictures on here, but as Ashley and David have recently discovered, I can't figure out where the cable to the camera is and I haven't had the extreme motivation to do so lately... guess now would be a good time to do that.

ONE MORE TIME

It's been ONE WHOLE YEAR together, and we are ready for MORE. I am sure everyone else is ready to hear more from us too...so we are going to work VERY HARD at getting addicted to our very own blog. Help us get addicted to talking about ourselves by letting us know what you want to know about us.
We've been keeping ourselves busy with school and work, and taking care of "our" home. It has been a pretty good challenge balancing everything, but it has been a wonderful year nonetheless. We are exited to keep in touch with everybody and to finally take a little bit more time to acknowledge all of the blessings we have been receiving through this blog. So like I already said, if there are things you would like to know about most, just let us know... if not, we'll just start our blog from scratch and take it from where we are today.

Hello Everybody...
Janell and I are totally excited to start out our new, very own blog. We've been wanting to setup this page for quite a while now but never really got around to doing it until now.
